Kitchener, Canada & Taipei, Taiwan — Mappedin, an industry leading software platform that helps REITs and retailers manage their dynamic indoor information and build digital wayfinding experiences, has hired Cameron Thomson to assist with its expansion into the Asian market.
Following exceptional growth since 2011, Mappedin's comprehensive indoor map and data management platform now serves many of North America's commercial REITs, such as Simon Property Group and Cadillac Fairview. Mappedin has recently collaborated with Apple to provide a high-accuracy stream of its customers indoor mapping data, which will show on Apple Maps after the iOS 11 launch this fall.
"We're pleased to help Mappedin take an incremental approach to its business expansion into Asia," says Cameron Thomson president Ron Thomson. "Regional REITs and retailers are using a patchwork of customized indoor mapping software that doesn't collect the type of data necessary to build complex solutions, or create superior front-end applications."
"Given Mappedin's position as the market leader in North America, and an interesting trend in Asia where IT and procurement departments are increasingly seeking practical -- not just 'smart' -- data solutions, Cameron Thomson is excited to guide this expansion effort."
