Ronald W. Thomson, President
Ronald Thomson is the president of Cameron Thomson Group Ltd. overseeing its operations in Toronto, London, Milan (Lake Como) and Los Angeles. He is recognised as a leading entrepreneur in the media/entertainment and IT industry. Under Mr. Thomson’s leadership Cameron Thomson Group has established a legacy of experience in building successful businesses. Cameron Thomson Group provides outsourced business development solutions to the media/entertainment and IT industries with current clients including: De Agostini Editore, ITV, Deluxe Laboratories, Bell Media (CTV), Reckitt Benkiser, Kirsch Media, CIR Group, Score Media, Scala Group, Telenor, IGW, Cantor Fitzgerald, Ensequence, Lumiq Studios, Breakthrough Films, Devine Entertainment, Ellis Entertainment, ExtendMedia and WirelesStudios, amongst others. Alistair Cameron, Partner
Alistair is one of Scotland's most distinguished media professionals. Alistair has financed and built exciting new enterprises for the European media since 1980.

David Plant, Vice President, Media & Entertainment
David Plant played a vital role in the establishment and growth of the film and television industry in Toronto to over CDN$1 billion annually. During his tenure as the city's film commisioner Toronto became the third largest production center in North America - second only to New York and Los Angeles. He was instrumental in attracting such major projects as Three Men and Baby, Good Will Hunting, and Moonstruck. His support enabled the Walt Disney Company to open a major animation facility in Canada.

David left the public sector in 1997 to work with Silicon Graphics in developing the Media and Entertainment industry, contributing to industry leading technologies for global clients such as IMAX Corporation, Electronic Arts, Alias and Discreet. He is considered one of Canada's foremost authorities on media convergent strategies and their role in business development.

Jeff Henry, Head of Global Media
Jeff Henry began his career with accountants Touche Ross before joining the BBC.  He then spent six years as a Director and General Manager of Scottish Television Enterprises, dealing primarily with Network programming, production and overseas distribution. In 1994 he joined NYNEX CableComms (now Cable & Wireless Communications/NTL), then the UK’s largest cable company, as Executive Director of Programming and then added the role of Executive Director, Marketing.  He was responsible for the launch of numerous channels on the cable systems as well as the successful introduction of the company’s first pay-per-view events and local programming output.  As director of CPP1 (Cable Partners Programming Partnership) he directed investment into cable exclusive programming.

In 1996 Jeff Henry was appointed as Managing Director of London News Network, the joint venture company owned by Granada Media Group and Carlton Television, responsible for providing a seven day news as well as an ITV national and regional transmission service.  He also ran a subsidiary, I.S.N. (Independent Sports Network), which produced network football and rugby for ITV. Jeff Henry joined Granada Sky Broadcasting, a joint venture between the UK’s two largest media companies, as Chief Executive in March 1998.  He was responsible for three channels Granada Plus, Breeze and Men & Motors on cable and satellite.  He launched all the channels on the new digital platforms and steered them to new record ratings levels. In July 2000 Jeff Henry joined The Hallmark Channel as Chief Executive.  He devised and produced one of the most successful channel launches of the last decade, creating a top 5 profitable channel within four years. In 2001 he was appointed as Chief Executive Officer of The Hallmark Channel throughout Europe, Middle East and Africa overseeing commercial activities in over 30 territories.  This resulted in the most profitable period in the company’s history and numerous offers to purchase the business.  Jeff was a key member of the team that led the successful sale process.

In May 2005 he joined ITV to devise and run a newly created division (ITVC) responsible for developing consumer revenues.  In its first year Consumer launched services in mobile, broadband and significant new transactional revenue streams making it a significant profit centre for the company.  The critically acclaimed re-launch of ITV.com as a world class video online site was followed by a period of unprecedented growth. Jeff is a Fellow of the Royal Television Society and Chairman of the Innovation Awards.

Andy Wilson, Associate
Andy is a veteran in corporate finance and M&A with a legacy of experience in the media/entertainment industry. His background spans providing corporate development, mergers & acquisitions and investment banking advisory services to mid-market clients with a focus on the entertainment, communications and technology industries. Prior to this he was Senior Vice President, Mergers & Acquisitions with Midland Walwyn Capital Inc. Mr. Wilson holds an MBA from the Richard Ivey School of Business (1986) and serves on the Board of Directors of some TSX-Venture Exchange companies.

J-C Jeffrey
Juan-Carlos (J-C) Jeffrey is an associate at Cameron Thomson Group, focused on international business development, growth and finance. He has spent over 18 years in strategic development, marketing and business development in the United Kingdom, United States, Canada and Europe. J-C works with media and entertainment companies internationally, across film, television, digital media and media technology on strategic development, new business opportunities, sales and distribution deals, technology solutions and corporate and slate finance.

J-C was raised in the UK, and has lived in the United States and Canada for the last 12 years. His previous roles include Vice President Media Development at a UK Government consultancy agency advising international companies such as Disney, Procter and Gamble, GE and Viacom and Vice President at Organization Metrics, a leading Canadian HR software company, working with Johnson and Johnson, RBC and BDO.

Brian Sobie, Director of International Distribution
Brian has been involved in some of the production and distribution space in Canada for over 20 years and brings Canadian and international broadcasting experience to Cameron Thomson. Previously Brian worked with successful broadcasting names, such as The Sports Network, The Fight Network, and CanWest Global.

Mark Bowden, Creative Director
Visionary and architect for new enterprises we create. His passion is entertainment. He is one of our creative thinkers consistently achieving clear and incisive solutions.

Alex Kaplunov – Analyst, Corporate Finance
Alex has been involved in the development and execution of the Corporate Finance division at Cameron Thomson, both in Canada and internationally. He has been with Cameron Thomson since November 2007, working on strategic partnership, capital raising, corporate development and financial analysis. He is a graduate from the undergraduate program at the Schulich School of Business at York University.

Luke Kervin, Strategic Partnerships
Luke's extensive sales and business development experience has been a great asset to Cameron Thomson Group, most particularly given his work in media and IT. Given his IT sales background at IBM, together with his Specialist Commerce and Finance degree from the Rotman School of Business, Luke is a driving force behind Cameron Thomson's international sales activities on behalf of its clientbase.

Tracey Thomson, UK Director
Tracey has extensive experience in the media and entertainment industry. As the director of a British film production company, the founder of an educational entertainment business, and the UK representative of a Canadian based merchant banking firm focused on media, Tracey brings to Cameron Thomson Group a broad range of international business development experience.
