Cameron Thomson Hosts Como Forum on Media Content

COMO, Italy — February 22, 2007 — Cameron Thomson Group, the pre-eminent business development corporation focused on media, entertainment and related technologies today announced it is hosting The Como Forum on Media Content, a unique private gathering of the most senior and influential entertainment industry leaders globally, to be convened this October in Lake Como, Italy.

The Como Forum on Media Content will tackle the most critical issues facing media content owners in a fast changing media landscape. In addition to content owners and platform operators, participants include representatives from the relevant technology and software companies will outline the way forward for content – an invaluable opportunity for insights into what’s on the drawing board.

Taking place in October at the Villa Erba on Lake Como, former home of Italian director Luchino Visconti, this gathering of global leaders will focus on how to monetize content in the face of audience fragmentation. Audience fragmentation is effecting how everyone in the media (media companies, broadcasters, advertisers, studios and content owners) can monetize their entertainment content. For many, it has presented rich opportunities; for others, it’s a highly negative development destroying long-established business models. How these businesses will adopt, and how the new distributors will capitalize on their assets is the subject we will tackle over one and a half days of meetings.

Participation is limited to senior executives and thought leaders, each of whom has been invited based on their accomplishments and impact on the industry. Helping to moderate the discussions will be a group of experts including senior figures from global brand and the advertising industry, international regulators and global media investors.

This event is presented by Cameron Thomson Group, the media/entertainment and technology industry’s foremost business development company, and Cambridge International Forums, a leader in organizing high-level industry insider events that focus on challenging business issues.
