At the upcoming MIP-TV market (in association with Film Bridge International/Equinox Films), Leader Media will unveil Cameron Thomson's first three productions (in pre-production and development stages) which include: "Art and Eroticism", "Madness", and "Myths and Monsters".
"Art and Eroticism", the first of the trio, takes a penetrating look into the controversial and titillating works of art that pushed the boundaries and redefined the line between art and pornography. A celebration of painted orgies, colourful prostitutes, well-endowed fertility gods and naked ambition, "Art and Eroticism", hosted by passionate art aficionados, promises to deliver scintillating and intelligent entertainment programming. "Madness" explores what fuelled an artist's imagination and the stunning images that ended up in the annals of art history. The series revolves around an insane asylum somewhere in the maze of purgatory, where the infamous and the famous mad artists throughout the ages are confined. Locked here indefinitely and trapped with only their mental anguish, each episode brings one artistâs life to clarity against the backdrop of bedlam that plagued them. "Madness" uses flashbacks and cgi/animation to tell their life stories. "Myths and Monsters" is aimed at children and takes them on a magical journey into the world of fables and fantasies. Gods and goddesses, incredible creatures, disastrous deeds and mind-boggling battles between good and evil culminate in a riveting and spellbinding series.
